Citi Alerting Service
Citibank UAE offers Citi Alerting Services that send you an email or SMS alert every time you make a transaction. Citi Alerts are provided free of charge and helps you keep track of your accounts. You can also change your Citi Alert preferences through Citibank Online.
3D Secure Credit Cards
To ensure a safe banking experience, we have designed our credit cards with a security feature that offers protection while shopping online. The credit card security feature enhances online security, so you can shop to your heart’s content from online merchants.
Fraud Early Warnings
At Citi, we constantly try to find productive ways to ensure credit card safety and to keep your account secure from malicious unauthorized activities. As we monitor accounts, we may contact you by phone, text or email to confirm whether you are aware of it or not.
Zero Liability on Lost Credit Cards
If you lose your credit card, you must inform us as soon as possible. Once you report the loss or theft of your Card, you do not bear any charges on the possible misuse of the card only after receiving confirmation that your card has been blocked.
Purchase Protection
Citibank offers Purchase Protection coverage with eligible credit cards. If any item that you purchased with your Citibank credit card gets damaged or stolen within 90 days of the date of purchase, the item will either get replaced or you will be reimbursed its full value.
Travel Insurance
With an eligible Citi Credit Card enjoy complimentary travel accident insurance, which compensates for any travel inconvenience caused due to delayed or missed flights, and delayed and/or lost luggage, and travel medical benefits provided that your tickets are purchased with your Citibank Credit Card.
Lifestyle Protect
Unforeseen events and circumstances can take a toll on our finances. At Citi, we understand this.
We have designed Lifestyle Protect to offer financial protection on your Citi Credit Card liabilities if you happen to face an unfortunate situation. It is an optional credit card program that offers coverage against Citi Credit Card dues, and offers cash benefits for personal expenses in the event of loss of employment, critical illness or death.
Mastercard Peace of Mind
Get e-commerce insurance and identity theft protection with Mastercard Digital Peace of Mind. Shop online with confidence when using your Emirates-Citibank Ultima Credit card or your Citi Prestige Credit Card and get covered for online purchases of up to $1,000 per year at no additional cost.
Missing the minimum payment due in any month and/or non-adherence to the bank’s Terms and Conditions may subject you to negative consequences and limit your ability to access further financing in the future, including but not limited to, late fee charges, a negative impact on your credit bureau rating, your card account going into arrears and/or collections measures which may include legal action and/or trigger all monies becoming due immediately. If you only make the minimum payment each month, you will pay more in interest and it will take you longer to pay off your outstanding balance.
